Puddle Jumpers
Designed to teach parents how to introduce children to the water. This is a parent & child class. (6-18 months)
Quackers
A Parent & child class for babies and toddlers between 1-3 years, Designed to develop water skills and water comfort through song and Games.
Polliwogs
Helps children develop a comfort level in the water and prepares them for structured swim Lessons. (ages 3-5 yrs)
Kinder Swim I
For the non-swimmer who does not like to get their face wet. Skills worked on
will include bubble blowing, front & back floats and kicking. Buoyancy belts
used. For ages 3 1/2—5 years.
Kinder Swim II
Must have completed Kinder Swim I or be able to paddle half the width of the pool and put whole face in the water. Skills worked on will include enhancing front and back floats with introduction to proper kick techniques. Buoyancy belts used for ages 3 1/2—5 years.
Aqua Kids
For the child who is able to swim without the use of buoyancy belt. Will work on beginner stroke using proper kicking techniques, and introduction to rhythmic breathing. For ages 4-6 years.
Advanced Aqua Kids
For the child who is able to swim 25 yards on his/her front and back without the use of a buoyancy belt. Will work on rhythmic breathing, elementary backstroke, and back crawl. For ages 4-6 years.
Levels
Level classes are $80 per 8 week session
Novice
For the child who never had lessons, may be hesitant to get face wet, or who is doggy
Paddling. Focusing on water adjustment, beginner’s strokes & floating. For ages 7 and up.
Level 2
For the child who has completed Advanced Aqua kids or Novice and needs to work on endurance and confidence in the water, front crawl and backstroke.
Level 3
For the child who can swim 25 yards on front and back but needs further work on rhythmic breathing, front crawl, backstroke, and endurance.
Level 4 & 5
Introduction to breaststroke, sidestroke, and further refinement of breathing patterns for front crawl. Dolphin (butterfly) kick will be introduced, and will continue to work on endurance.
Level 6—Skill Proficiency & Level 7 Advanced Skills
Emphasis will be on water comfort , endurance and timing of all strokes and skills. Butterfly stroke will be introduced and reviewed.
